Worry Less with #SIMPLRPLAN and Enter to Win $150 Gift Card

Whenever anyone asks me about my kids, I always say that I have three very active boys. And I do: they like to be on the go, participating in all sorts of sports and activities.

But when they’ve worn themselves out, they want to relax and do some gaming. So, you often see them like this:

simplr A

They have their favorite games they’ll play, trying to beat each others’ high scores. Or once school is back in session, they often have homework to do on their devices. The majority of my fourth grader’s homework last year had to be done online.

simplr J

Kids today are definitely growing up in a tech world, so they need to be able to use tablets and laptops and all sorts of technology.

But, y’all.

Even though I’ve gone over rules with my boys for how they handle tablets, laptops, and even my phone, they are still kids. Kids who could accidentally spill a juice box on the keyboard. Or who beat their brothers’ high scores and run to show off, managing to drop a tablet and crack it.

This coming from someone who once spilled a vase of water onto her keyboard and at one point dropped her laptop on her own foot, simultaneously breaking both the laptop and her big toe. So, accidents happen, even if you think you’re being careful.

simplr

This is why the SIMPLR™ Product Protection Plan is a really smart idea for parents. SIMPLR™ covers accidental damage from handling such as drops, spills and cracked screens for beloved portable products like tablets and laptops. (Limitations and exclusions apply. See terms and conditions for details.)

If something happens, you simply register at simplrplan.com, file an online claim, then pack and ship your product or schedule your in-home repair. That’s it. And then you’ll smile when you receive your repaired product, replacement, or reimbursement.

Laptops and tablets are the first things that come to my mind that I’d want to protect, but SIMPLR™ also protects televisions, major appliances, jewelry and watches, sporting goods, and general merchandise.

With SIMPLR,™ I don’t have to freak out that my youngest loves to curl up with the laptop I use for work. And should anything happen, we could get it taken care of and quickly get back to our usual routine.

Maybe there was something you should have had a SIMPLR™ Product Protection Plan on but didn’t and now that needs replacing. Enter to win a $150 Amazon.com Gift Card Giveaway and maybe you can replace it!

SIMPLR™ $150 Amazon.com Gift Card Giveaway

We haven’t had any spills (yet), but we have had numerous drops and shockingly everything still works.  For now.

We’re always extra careful with our more expensive gadgets but accidents happen. It would be nice to know we’re covered.

One of my neighbor’s kids dumped a can of soda on the keyboard of my desktop. I still can’t use half of the keys because they stick…

With 4 small kids around here accidents happen all the time. My phone (being used for a game at the time) was the latest victim of spilled water.

SIMPLR sounds great! I had a protection plan for my phone through my provider, but I dropped it. It was RIDICULOUSLY expensive!

My son loves playing with the iPad and occasionally our phones (he used to be obsessed with the phones.) I’m scared he’ll spill something one day. The iPad had a protective case, but it could also be thrown and possibly cracked.

This is greta info for when my son gets a tablet. I do not share mine at this time, and I am supe rcareful with it. Although, insurance does always make things easier!
    Thanks, Mitch

My two youngest spilled an entire glass of water on my laptop once. The irony was that I’d moved my laptop to my bedside table to be safe, lol. It was not safe. 😉

This sounds like a great program for my family. We are always breaking our stuff around here. I have even dropped my own phone into a bowl of cereal while FaceTiming with my dad. Sad right?!

Sounds like a great program. My son has a shirt like the one your son is wearing. Lol.

We’ve been very fortunate to not have any mishaps.  But it’s always a good idea to have a protection plan just in case.

I used to be terrible with my devices until one day when my phone fell into a puddle of water. A phone that I had been saving for months for. I cried. Yep…I sure did. After that day, I have been extra careful with my devices…thankfully since that awful day, no major hiccups have happened in the life of my gadgets. Thankfully!

I entered the contest. Wow I never heard of Simplr and I could definitely benefit because hey we live in such a tech-y world and anything can break at anytime. ITs always good to have the extra security coverage.

We had a party a few weeks ago and after my Ipad mini wasn’t working I was so upset. While my son is pretty good with knowing what tech he can and can’t play with I forget that other kids don’t and that adults who are drinking shouldn’t be allowed near technology. Luckily after a few days it turned back on but we could use a plan like this.

This case looks great. Really takes the worry out of letting your kids play with devices.

I think I am the last parent on earth who doesn’t allow their kid on electronics. But, I have a good reason. I like that their is a plan for protection for the time when we decide that she can have something of her own. Because kiddo travels between 3 different houses during any given week (ours, her moms, and my mother in law) she has a terrible time of keeping track of things. We are trying to teach her to be more responsible about things. She is with her mom during the week and they play video games all week long. At my MIL she allows her to play games on the laptop. So, when she is with us her father and I have decided that she should have some human contact and stay off electronics. She seems perfectly happy with this rule and we get out and enjoy life as a family. I do have a mini laptop that will be hers when she gets to that point of being responsible and keeping up with her stuff.

If you have any kind of device with a screen on it this would really come in handy. You just never know when something could happen.

I really need to protect my camera.  I am way too hard on it and it is EXPENSIVE!  (I should really just be more careful too!)

    August 21, 2014 at 1:47 pm

Wait, sporting goods and appliances, too? Along with the portable electronics? This is genius.

Obviously the kids w. the electronics is a huge issue here, too (as my own child is on my iPad right now), but the sporting goods stuff? I like that just as much!

Ahaha! What I liked? This is my husband. Ehem.

My kiddo and the husband were “casting” out front and she got it caught in the neighbor’s tree. With his supervision. So, yeah. 😉

So far so good with our tech stuff. As the kids handle things more and more though, it wouldn’t hurt to have SIMPLR!

  43. Dianne says

    August 26, 2014 at 7:25 pm

After my boys dropping and shocking my first Nexus 7 into not turning on anymore, they are not allowed to use my new one. This protection plan sounds like a great thing to have.

  44. Roxanne says

    August 28, 2014 at 2:18 pm

I wouldn’t be quite so paranoid about letting my son use my “precious” laptop and would probably let him use it MORE with a protection plan like this!
