I’m happiest with a book in hand.
It took a while, but my boys have come around and now they enjoy reading, too. They might not spend all day reading like I’d love to do, but I don’t have to do much prompting to get them to do their daily reading.
A huge part of that desire to read comes from finding books that appeal to them. Since we recently went to Disney World, Disney characters rank high up their on their interest lists.
When my boys are choosing their books, they can browse by character so they can quickly find what would interest them. They’re excited for Inside Out so that’s where they headed first. I was pleased to see there are plenty of options that would appeal to both girls and boys.
The Disney Story Central app itself is free and we got 4 books when we signed up(this may be a special offer and could change). To get more books, you can get a subscription for $7.99 a month which gives you access to all of the books, which you can then read for as long as you have a subscription. Another option is to purchase tokens which you can assign to your children’s accounts, and they can use those tokens to buy the books they want. Tokens range in price from 1 for $3.99 to a bundle of 25 for $24.99.
You’ll want to make sure you require a password for in-app purchases so that in their excitement to read more and more, your kids don’t buy books without your permission. For the summer, my family will be getting the Disney Story Central subscription.
Which Disney character would you search for in Disney Story Central?
