With the Girls: A cocktail made with cherry vodka, ginger ale, and pomegranate juice.
For the Kids: Water. Because it’s good for them. And they drank all the milk with breakfast.
With the Girls: Goat cheese and pistachio soufflé, accompanied by Asian pears, with a pomegranate jus
For the Kids: Uh, they need an appetizer? Oh, let’s count their afternoon snack. One ate strawberries, another some sort of cheese, and the third had some graham crackers.
With the Girls: Pan roasted mahi mahi atop Maine lobster and diver scallop risotto, with a green garlic and carrot reduction
For the Kids: Pizza. Extra grease, please.
With the Girls: Summer berry tart with cream cheese sorbet
For the Kids: Again, they need dessert? Oh, okay, they are eating a quick meal at home so I can go have a girls’ night, so let’s see what I have… they ate all the strawberries for a snack(I mean appetizer)… so it’s your choice of freeze pop.
Mom Disclaimer: my children do actually eat veggies and meals that are good for them. But you know, sometimes they just need something fast and easy(especially if Dad is in charge of the meal). And I get to go have a treat meal for my birthday, with no children’s menu in sight.
