Celebrate National Dog Week

This post is part of a series brought to you by DENTASTIX, part of Mars Petcare, who is committed to “a better world for pets”. I was compensated for this partnership, but all opinions are my own.

I’m a boy mom and a cat mom. But as an auntie, I have both nieces and nephews… and a nephew-pup.

Some people get baby-fever spending time with their nieces and nephews. But when I spend time with my Goldendoodle nephew-pup, I start wishing I could have a dog exactly like him.

In honor of National Dog Week (the last full week in September), I want to share Rudy the Goldendoodle with you, along with some ideas for fun things you can do to celebrate your dog this week and all year long.

Find a dog park or puppy playground near you and have fun exercising your dog. Rudy loves running around!

Search for a dog bakery near you and get your dog a treat! Rudy knows he can’t have human food, but he loved his pup-cake.

Enjoy a day out on the beach with your pup. He liked swimming even more than his big sister did.

Let your dog show off his style in a tie or a costume. Rudy is quite dapper in his tie.

Check to see if a pool near you has an end of season Puppy Plunge. Playing with other dogs and water made Rudy a happy dog!

Take your pup to a ballgame on Pups in the Park night. Rudy is a Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

Get your dog groomed. A haircut can made Rudy feel like a young pup again.

Get a new toy for your dog. Rudy knows which toys he can play with and which are his sister’s.

You can also treat your dog with PEDIGREE® treats, fun and delicious treats that satisfy a dog’s every need. DENTASTIX® treats not only taste great, their unique texture is also clinically proven to reduce plaque and tartar buildup.

If your dog really loves to chew, longer-lasting* DENTASTIX® Deep Clean are the perfect fit. They clean down to the gum line and are clinically proven to reduce plaque and tartar buildup.

And of course, make sure you are giving your dog plenty of snuggles every day.
