Blueberry Smoothie Recipe and Other 150 Calorie Snack Hacks

This article is sponsored by Yoplait Greek 100.

I know that if I tried to make a huge change in what I eat, I’d end up failing. Small changes, baby steps, gradually changing my routine, being a little more mindful of what and when I’m eating: this is what I’m trying instead.

A big part of that is making sure I do eat three reasonable meals a day plus have small snacks. I’ve been guilty in the past of skipping meals and then eating something terrible for me because I’m cranky and starving.

One of the things I’ve stocked up on to keep myself on track is yogurt. It makes for a delicious snack on its own or as part of a smoothie.

A 150 calorie snack hack that I’ve tried(sometimes for breakfast instead of a snack), is this Blueberry Smoothie. Take a Yoplait Greek 100 Blueberry Yogurt, add 1/2 cup frozen blueberries(40 calories), 1 cup of light cranberry juice(10 calories), and blend. It’s a 145 snack or breakfast. Though shhhhh… sometimes I’ve added a full cup of blueberries and made it 185. But still- that’s a reasonable snack. Smoothie doesn’t automatically mean healthy or low calorie, but at less than 150 calories, this one won’t wreck the good I’m trying to do.

Yoplait has a pinboard full of 150 (or less) calorie snack hacks that you can try with their Greek yogurts. I want to try the Irish Cream Yogurt Cup: Boston Cream Pie Yogurt plus 1 T Irish Cream liqueur topped with whipped cream and a chocolate covered coffee bean. There’s a White Russian, Cherry Pistachio, Apple Crunch, and so many other snack options. Be sure to check out all the Yoplait 150 calorie snack hacks and pin away!

Though if you don’t want to add anything, Yoplait Greek 100 Yogurt is good on its own. Only 100 calories, 10-12 grams protein, 0% fat, and 20+ flavors, including Coconut, Honey, Banana Caramel, Orange Crème, Apple Pie, Strawberry Cheesecake, Mango, and Key Lime.

What’s your go-to snack?

I like that this looks filling. That is my issue, a stomach that wants more, I need little calories and a big helping, this looks like it could work because yes, I am on a new food plan or the new year!

What a great idea. I’ve never used flavored yogurt in my smoothies – usually just vanilla and then add fruit, but why not! I’m sure it helps out with the fruit flavor!

Lately it’s been a handful of cashews or walnuts mixed with yogurt, or fresh veggies with low-fat dressing. I need to mix up my snacks a little more because they are getting boring. Smoothies are always a good idea!
