I feel like I blinked and it’s all of a sudden the end of July. Since it’s all been a blur, I thought I’d join in with 10 Things to Smile About and share what made me happy this month.
1. Getting two date nights with Hubs. One to our favorite restaurant where I ate things like country ham wrapped peaches with gingered goat cheese, balsamic honey and spiced pecans and a second to a wedding. Love any time we get that kid-free time.
2. My birthday. Nothing wrong with taking a moment to celebrate yourself.
3. Watching my oldest swim the entire length of the pool all by himself.
4. A drink called the “Lifetimetini.” YUM!
5. Figuring out how to use my flat iron to curl my hair. Especially since it’s much easier to rock big curls in all this humidity than to attempt to straighten my hair into submission.
6. Neon pink yoga pants. They are slightly obnoxious and pretty much glow in the dark but I love them anyway.
7. Getting to hold my precious baby niece. With all these boys in my house, I have to get my girl fix!
8. Going to BlogHer and being surrounded by people who understand this whole blogging thing!
9. IRL time with friends who usually only live in my computer. With Kristen and Ashley below- just one of countless pics taken at BlogHer. But everyone I met or got to see again could be listed as a reason to smile!
10. The feeling of being HOME after a long trip. No better feeling than getting smooches from all of my boys and Hubs!
Aw, your niece is gorgeous!
Love all your to-smile things. Yay!
I think she is such a cutie. I wanted to bring her home with me!
What fun to get to have date night and hang with terrific friends!
It’s been a fun month!
It’s going to be finish of mine day, but before finish I am reading this impressive article to improve my knowledge.
BlogHer, the new friends I made, and the amazing experience, definitely has me smiling ear to ear this week, even though I feel like I need a month of sleep to recover. 😉
Oh, I know! I’m still not recovered!
Your niece melts my heart! Look at her looking up at you like that. So sweet! I got to spend the day yesterday with my twin nephews at the beach. We played in the water for most of the day and listening to their little giggles definitely put a smile on my face!Â
Oh, how fun!
I’m so in love with my niece. I wanted to take her home with me.
Date night and spending time with friends at BlogHer are most definitely worth smiling about! I’m glad that I finally got to meet you.
About time- since we’ve know each other forever in blogging years!
What a great list of smiley things. It looks like it has been a good month! 🙂Â
It really has been. I love summer.
Wow what a busy July! Sounds like you had a fantastic month though…and that niece of yours is super cute! Now teach me how to do curls with a flat iron!
It’s been such a busy month- I can’t believe it’s August already!
Was thinking about doing a vlog with the curls- it’s super easy!
Cute post. Happy Belated Birthday.Â
Stopping by from 10 Things to Smile About
Thanks, Heather!
I have to learn how to curl my hair with the flat iron. That picture with your niece melts my heart. Your yoga pants made it’s way into my blog post as well. 😉 It was so great to meet you and give you a hug and spend some IRL time talking.
My obnoxious yoga pants. LMAO Thinking of vlogging the curls with a flat iron.
Yes! Do it! I’d watch. 🙂
Date nights are the best, definitely something to smile about! I’m smiling about my brother’s wedding now that I have our tickets booked. I can’t wait to see him get married and my kids are in the wedding too! The fact that this is the first girl he’s ever dated that I truly like really makes me smile.Â
Oh, that’s awesome! I love the girls that my brothers married, too. It made their weddings happier!
How fabulous do the three of you look?Â
Date nights & other people’s babies…things I love too!
I do love a baby I can hand back so I can go get a full night’s sleep. 😉
My son falling asleep on my lap tonight.
So sweet!
Lots of good moments to smile about! Â You look gorgeous and content in the picture with your niece (your other pics are beautiful too!) Â This month I’m smiling because my son is finally able to fall asleep with Dad instead of me. Â Its been a long time coming!Â
Oh, that’s SUCH a good feeling!
Pretty sure I need to see a picture of the neon pink yoga pants and then i need to find out where to get a pair of my own!!!
They are BRIGHT! But they are also reversible and the other side is black, so I figured they are totally practical. From Lululemon.
I love your list! Â And hugging you was one of my reasons to smile last week! Â And Yes, maybe I need to hop on the curl hair with flat iron bandwagon. Â I didn’t take my flat iron to BlogHer with me and it was kind of a big mistake!Â
Your hair is gorgeous no matter what! So glad I got to give you a hug!
Seeing all five kids get alone and be so happy to be reunited. Even if they are collectively driving me crazy! 🙂
Aw, that’s so sweet!
What a great subject to post about! I have a new niece (4 days now) and I get my girl fix from her as well. She is so beautiful…just like yours.
Oh, a brand new baby! That always makes me smile!
Looks like you had a fabulous month. I’m a July birthday as well. That drink looks/sounds fabulous!
I really need to figure out a way to duplicate that drink!
I loved those neon pink yoga pants. In that sea of black they really stood out.
They reverse to black, so I figured I’d still get a lot of wear out of them, but I love a fun piece like that!
