10 Things to Smile About

It’s that time again! To list the happy moments of the month and share- because there’s always something to smile about(yes, I need this reminder sometimes). Joining in with EmmyMom.

1. Running our first messy color run. It poured down rain until just before the race started, but I’m glad we ran it! If you’re going to run one, check out my color run tips.

2. Listening to my boys practice songs for their Christmas program, complete with fancy moves.

3. This grin: first place in “strongest kick” for the second karate tournament in a row.

4. Lunch out with a friend.

5. Getting to go on a field trip with my second grader.

Sounds like a lot of reasons to smile for sure! And I’m counting down till Christmas break, too. This morning I told my son… “Just two more Mondays after today! It’s what’s getting us through. πŸ™‚

You know, I have my first karate belt test next week . . . and I’ll TOTALLY admit that I’m feeling a bit like Kramer among the 5 year olds. I mean, I hope, in time, to be “mostly separate,” but at the very beginning levels, well, if we had a “strongest kick” contest, I believe I can fairly say that there wouldn’t be much competition πŸ™‚

This is a great post — here’s to more date nights & sleeping in!

This past weekend made me smile – a lot. My husband had a 4 day weekend, and we got so much done around the house, decorated for Christmas, and had time to relax!

Awesome list! Date night is always great. How did you manage to stay so clean during the color run compared to your boys? So fun you did that.
It’s always fun to be able to go on field trips with kids, I like seeing how my kids act at school, often surprises me some of the things they do.
