Blog conference season is in full swing. Have you decided what conferences you are headed to this year?
One of the first conferences that I attended was Type A Parent Conference. This summer, I’ll head there for my third time: it’s a can’t-miss for me. I’m thrilled that this year, Things I Can’t Say is Type A Parent Conference Official Partner.
Where and when is Type A Parent Conference?
This year, the conference is taking place June 22-24 in Charlotte, NC .
Why should you consider going to Type A Parent Conference?
- It’s a very informative conference: you leave with practical tips on what you can do to improve your blogging. The speakers know their stuff and know what sort of takeaways bloggers want from conferences.
- It’s small, but big enough. Yes, I like to contradict myself. It’s not intimidatingly big so it’s great for a first conference. But, there are also enough attendees there that you will have plenty of opportunity to meet lots of new people.
- The laid-back feel. Yes, at Type A. After the evening parties, there are informal patio parties where you get a chance to actually talk to other attendees in a casual setting. And as far as what to wear, anything truly goes.

I just booked my ticket yesterday, I wish I had known to go through you though. So excited since its my first time, and I hope we get to chat some!
You’ll love it!
I have my ticket already. This is a good deal though!
So glad to get to see you again!
I’ll be going again this year. Look forward to seeing you there 🙂
Yay! We need to plan a dinner. 🙂
I’m going! It will be my first time attending. I’m really looking forward to it.
You’ll love it! Can’t wait to meet you!
How exciting! I bet blogging conferences are a lot of fun (and educational of course)!!! I’ve not had the chance to attend one.
Hope you can get to one soon! So much fun to be in a room of people who get blogging!
This one isn’t on my radar, so I’m curious. I’m a disorganized mess and I run around giving orders all the time. Does that make me anything close to type A? What does it really focus on? All of these in the South are ones I should consider for next year when I’ll finally make a conference, so any and all information or links to said would be helpful. Love you Shell!
I was a little worried about going the first time because I’m so NOT type a. But, it really is a laid-back atmosphere. I think it’s type a in really focusing on getting things done in blogging. Here’s the link to the conference site for you to check it out: http://typeaconference.com/
I heard about this conference from last year and it sounds like it’s a good one. If my due date wasn’t June 25 I’d go this year. Though, that may make for a very interesting weekend there!
Ha! Not the best timing! Keep this one in mind for next year, for sure.
oh I want to go…this is one I am very unhappy that I won’t be attending. 🙁
I know you’re going to have an amazing time. xo
I wish you could go! Especially since we’ve yet to have a chance to meet!
me too..it’s on my WISH LIST FOR 2012…MEET SHELL!!!
I so want to go!
Look into it, girl!!!
How cool that you’re officially connected to the conference. I had no idea about how any of that worked so I didn’t even look into it. But you’re awesome – so that’s awesome. 🙂
Looking forward to seeing you again!
Ha. Girl, I didn’t either. I clicked the link and figured it couldn’t hurt to try!
Next year. Next year!
Once the girls are a bit older I’ll feel better about going to conferences.
I’m glad you blogged about this one, as I hadn’t heard too much about it.
Let’s plan on meeting in 2013 🙂
You will love this conference!!!
That’s our beach vacation time with my husband’s family. boo!
Oh no! Bad timing.
