I started learning how to cook and bake at a very young age. I always enjoyed it and was pretty darn good at it, or so I thought.
Until I tried to make Thanksgiving dinner all on my own for the first time. I thought that since I’d made plenty of dinners, it couldn’t possibly be much different.
But of course, I’d never cooked a turkey before.
And trying to figure out the timing of cooking all the other dishes, getting everything fully cooked- not burnt and not done so early that it would be cold by the time that it was served, was a little more of a challenge than I’d bargained for.
I think the only things that didn’t stress me out were the rolls(store-bought) and the McCormick’s Turkey Gravy Mix. Since even my stressed out self couldn’t mess up store bought rolls and an easy mix. Thankfully, gravy can cover a multitude of culinary sins. McCormick’s gravy comes out lump-free every time and is made with natural spices, no artificial flavors or colors, no MSG, and has zero grams of trans fat.
This Thanksgiving is the first in a while that I’ll once again be in charge of the whole meal and I’m hoping this one goes a little smoother than my first!
