Soccer is a Way of Life #PassTheLove

I was paid by Mondelēz International for this post. All love for soccer is my own and my family’s(I’m pretty sure soccer was mentioned in my wedding vows).

Soccer is more than just a sport- it’s a way of life. It’s my family’s way of life. I’m not kidding about that whole soccer being in my wedding vows thing. My boys were given soccer balls before they were even born. All three of my kids play and my husband coaches. If you can’t find me, it’s probably because I’m on the soccer field.

The makers of OREO, RITZ, Trident, Honey Maid and Sour Patch Kids, the Official Snacks of U.S. Soccer, have partnered with some of the biggest names in soccer, including Clint Dempsey, Omar Gonzalez, and Alex Morgan to create a movement where soccer enthusiasts across the country unite to #PassTheLove of the sport. Soccer is about so much more than just winning or losing.

My little one has no interest in sports and my oldest is in Karate, which is very time consuming!

My 6 year old, who suffers from anxiety, is playing soccer. Actually playing! Even though there are lots of people she doesn’t know. I think we may have found her a sport! It makes my heart happy. Go soccer!!!

I never played soccer when I was a kid (I played softball & basketball) but 2 out of my 3 are soccer fanatics! It definitely is a way of life, and sometimes it’s hard for this softball playin’ Mom to get used to!

It’s the #1 sport in the world. Our family is more college football than anything else.

I never did sports as a kid, and went WAY out of my way to avoid PE in any form all the way through High school. Even in College, when I was required one Athletic class, I took it online, haha! Can you tell I’m not big on forced physical activity? I prefer a nice bike ride…

It looks like your boys really enjoy soccer. Mine just like to pick flowers the whole time. I never did organized sports growing up and did dance and piano..so maybe they get it from me!

I totally agree, it’s more than just winning and or losing. I hope when my kids are older they will take an interest in team sports.

Okay I am dying to know, what was said in your vows about soccer?   My kids love playing soccer too, it really is a great way for them to be part of a team and get a lot of exercise too

I guess it was in our wedding toast rather than the vows, and we did end up on a soccer field at the end of our honeymoon, so close enough! 😉

Sports are so great for teaching teamwork. It’s awesome that your boys are so involved!

I wish we had soccer here. Locally, it’s just not one of the sports played at the schools. We’re all about baseball and basketball. The kiddos will get out in the yard and play soccer just messing around though, and enjoy it.

Soccer for children was super popular when I lived in Colorado, but since moving to the East coast it seems lacrosse rules the scene.  I prefer soccer 🙂

Soccer has been such a huge part of our family too, or as my son says too all the time to me – it’s a way of life 😉

My two girls are into soccer.  I like that they get in some exercise while at learning what it means to be a part of a team.  Those two lessons will serve them for life.

We’re about halfway through our first season of baseball here. I played sports like crazy growing up. It really can take over life, but I loved it and hope my boys will too.

I love when kids play soccer and take it seriously! In Jamaica where I am from, soccer is indeed a way of life. I think boys come out of the womb playing it. Funny enough but girls don’t really play soccer back home

When I was considerably younger I played soccer for a brief period of time and I remember loving it so much! Unfortunately it did not love me; I’m pretty sure I passed out a few times and got overheated quite a lot o.O

It really is such a fun game to play though!

My kids aren’t much into soccer. I am trying to find a good league for my son to join. He is still little and he calls a soccer ball a “Kick-it Ball”!
