Show You Care this Cold and Flu Season

I did some acts of kindness with Kleenex® Brand products as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #KleenexCare

Last week, when I was helping in my middle son’s classroom, there were so many kids sniffling that the teacher was walking around the classroom with a tissue box tucked under her arm, ready to pass them out, instead of having so many kids up and down out of their seats, getting tissues.

As she pulled the last tissue out of the box, she shook her head at me and said, “I really hope I don’t get whatever this is!”

I hope she doesn’t either. The school day is a lot smoother with her there, instead of a substitute.

Because I saw that her tissue supply was already ridiculously diminished, I figured I’d join the “Share the Kleenex Care” movement and stock up the classroom with more tissues.

Just a small act of care can brighten someone’s day and Kleenex Brand is the perfect inspiration; its softness reminds us to show kindness and care.

It doesn’t take much to have a lasting impact.  A simple tissue with this note at a kindergarten program is still one of my favorite little tokens. Just reading the note made me start to tear up, even before that show started!

In addition to sending in a supply of Kleenex that will at least last a few weeks of the cold and flu season, I put together a little care pack for each of my boys’ teachers.

These little containers can be used to hold other items on their desks after they’re done, but for now, this cold and flu season survival box has packs of Kleenex, hand sanitizer, wipes, lip balm, and throat drops with Vitamin C.

Hopefully, these small acts of care will brighten the teachers’ day!

What acts of kindness can you do to share the care of Kleenex with others?

We go through A LOT of Kleenex in our house between allergies and cold season!

I’ve gone through quite a bit of Kleenex this past month since every person in our house has been sick! I love the care packages you sent the teachers. They’ll be put to great use.

I do sent extra boxes of Kleenex to school with my 2nd grader. It’s nice to have good quality tissues to use during this time of year when everyone seems to have a runny nose.

That was very thoughtful of you! I’m a psychotherapist and by act of kindness is making sure I have a large supply of Kleenex available for my patients instead of the sandpaper that the hospital supplies. There is nothing worse than feeling bad and then have a scratched nose.

That was a nice idea and such cute care packages! I am doing everything I can to prevent getting sick this season.

This is so fun. I am sure teachers especially would love a gift of Kleenex.

I always make sure my husband has a supply of Kleenex at work. He loves them, so I enjoy making sure he’s got enough.

That is a really cute care package for the teacher. I’m sure it was very much appreciated.

What a great idea! I would love to buy a bunch and take them to a women’s shelter or possibly a food bank! This season it can be greatly used!

As a former Special Education Teacher I just want to hug you! Trust me when I say the darn apple thing gets OLD really fast! This care package is WAY more useful, particularly since I have never been too fond apples! LOL 🙂

I’m a former teacher and I learned that while all gifts are appreciated, the practical ones were the ones that really helped! I try to go that route.

Last year my son had a teacher who loved gifts coming in the classroom (like hand sanitizer, tissues, etc.). This year the teacher told us nuh uh before the school year even started, to donating items (in a letter sent home at open house)…so we donate to last year’s teacher, lol.

I know those tissues were appreciated!

Oh, that’s so weird! Our teachers have a running wish list.

I think it’s weird too. I like her but she’s got some def. ideas of how to do things (like no cake or cupcakes even on birthdays!) and I guess that’s ok. It’s her classroom. She’s fair and kind to the kids, and they’re really learning things. That’s what matters most. 🙂

As long as she’s doing a good job with the kids, that’s what matters, for sure. I’ve just never heard of a teacher not wanting any donations for the classroom. LOL

Love this so much! What a great idea for Kleenex! This would be great with a warm batch of soup if someone is already sick!

Those care packages are cute. I have never seen a giant pack of tissues like that! Oh gosh. I don’t have a membership to Costco or Sams. I am guessing that is where you get multi packs like that.

I think Kleenex would be great for soup kitchens and food pantries! Who doesn’t need extra tissues.

What a sweet poem. We dont use much tissue but we do stock up for those days when we do.
