Satisfying My Sweet Tooth with Fiber One

I have a terrible sweet tooth. It calls to me between meals and practically screams at me late in the evening. And what I’ve learned is that if I totally ignore it and try to do something dramatic like eliminate all brownies, cheesecake, cookies, and similar yummy treats, I will eventually give in and then I’ll eat way more than I normally would have. Instead of just one cookie, I’d eat a dozen or so… or something like that, because I wouldn’t count, I’d just stuff my face because I craved them so much.

So while skipping out on all sweets works for some people, it definitely doesn’t for me. Moderation is a better way to go for me so I don’t make the sweet tooth monster so hungry that I’ll devour every sweet in my path. And when I do allow myself to have a sweet treat, I can go with Fiber One. It tastes good and it helps me keep my weight down so I don’t think twice about having one.

I’ve tried the Fiber One new Cheesecake Bars in Strawberry and Salted Caramel, which are 150 calories per bar with 20% daily value of fiber. I can’t quite decide which one I like the best, so I keep taste tasting.

If I’m in the mood for a cookie, I eat a Fiber One Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookie (110 calories and 5g of fiber). They taste great and they are a good size – I hate when a serving size is a bite or two and then it’s done. I don’t have that problem with Fiber One cookies, though. I can’t wait to try their new Crunchy Sugar Cookie and new Soft-Baked Peanut Butter Cookie, too.

I let myself have one sweet treat a day, whether it’s a Fiber One Cheesecake Bar or a Fiber One Cookie. My sweet tooth gets satisfied and I don’t feel guilty about it- after all, I could use the fiber in my diet anyway.

Do you have a sweet tooth? Which Fiber One Cheesecake Bar or Cookie would you like to try? Tell me in the comments and you will be entered to win a $100 Visa gift card!
