January

January was when we added basketball onto soccer. My oldest two played- my youngest is thrilled that he gets to play this year, instead of just hanging out in the stands.
Blog posts:
- My Husband is an Asshole one of my most popular posts, though I think women who find it from googling are probably disappointed in my take on the subject.
- A Goodbye is the reason my first grader has me almost convinced that Santa should bring him a kitten for Christmas this year.
February

My youngest niece made her appearance at the tail end of 2013. My heart explodes at the cuteness of her first Valentine’s Day.
Blog Posts:
- A Blogger Goes to Yoga Once you’re a blogger, it’s hard to turn off the “this would be a great blog post” part of your brain.
- I’m Not Apologizing for Being on My Phone Despite all the posts out there about why we need to disconnect and the ones criticizing moms for ignoring their kids to be on their phones, I refuse to apologize for having my phone with me.
March
- It’s Not Okay The hardest post I wrote in 2013.
- 6 Reasons My Kids Will Never Have Perfect Attendance
Your turn! Link up your January, February and March review between now and Wednesday, December 11th. And be sure to visit other linkers! Come back next Thursday with your April, May, June reviews!
Wow, soooo many of your posts have me wanting to go see what they’re about. Especially the asshole one… not gonna lie. You intrigued me.
Ha! It’s a little different than the title implies!
I am definitely going to have to check out the posts you showcased, they all sound really funny!
Thanks, Kenzie!
I remember that It’s Okay post, it was a powerful one. Yes I am sure most googling are disappointed with your My husband is an Asshole post, but I loved it 🙂 We are about to start basketball here, well Alex is, so we will see how it goes. Thanks so much for hosting with me.
Thanks for asking me! This is a fun way to look back!
I loved all of those posts. And that wedding picture – gorgeous!
Thanks, Alison!
I remember all these! So fun co-hosting with you!
Such a fun event! My parents were in town last week, so I’m going to get caught up reading all our linkers today!
I’m not sure I read the one about being on your phone. Will go back up and click on it now!
Glad you liked it!
Very fun post and review back! Reading your hardest post for 2013 was pretty good. I dread having my kids or my son stuck in a situation getting pushed around in a game of any kind. Your Pour my heart out posts are always great. I always have my phone… referring to your reasons its okay…. b/c without it, I wouldn’t have the pictures of our daily life to reflect on…
I use mine for pics, too. I capture memories I wouldn’t otherwise have.
Your niece is absolutely adorable! I appreciate you highlighting past blogs as it’s only recently that I found you. It’s a great idea to look back – thanks for the inspiration; I think I’ll be joining you in the this extravaganza.
Isn’t she a cutie? I just want to take her and keep her!
Glad you are joining in! We had company all last week so I’m just getting caught up on reading all the links today!
LOVE this, should totally get my act together … and I have read all of the posts
#pats self on back 😉
At this time of year, about all I can manage is to do look back posts!
What a year! I still love the picture of you and your husband on the beach.
Thank you! It’s one of my faves.
I loved reading some of these! That wedding picture is gorgeous!
Thanks, Barbara!
OMG, your niece I just want to squeeze her cheeks. The post about your husband was a memorable one and I really liked it.
Congrats on 10 years, we will hit that milestone next year! And as the person who tabulates those absences and tardies for a living, I get it. I wish there was some leniency, so I wouldn’t feel like the bad guy all the time!
This is such a fun idea, and a great way to look at the year as a whole! I’ve loved your posts this year (as always) and these are definitely some of the best.
