It’s that wonderful time of early summer where it still feels good to sit out on the deck in the evening, relaxing. Maybe chatting with friends, maybe reading a book, maybe watching the kids play out back.
And since I’m just relaxing at home, it’s nice to have a summer drink in hand.
I’ve had Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach sitting on my shelf for quite a while and wasn’t sure what to do with it, but recently made a summer margarita recipe with it and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. This is not the kind of margarita that you pour into a gigantic glass, though. This is one you enjoy in a small glass, over lots of ice. In other words, not the mix you buy from the store and add just a hint of tequila to. Which is why, though this recipe is for 4 servings, they are small servings. Taste and you’ll see what I mean- it’s one of those you’ll pour a small glass of and sip slowly.
Obvious disclaimer: this recipe is for those over the age of 21 or whatever the drinking age is where you are and should be enjoyed responsibly.
Raspberry Peach Margarita Recipe
- 3 oz Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach
- 6 oz tequila
- 4 limes, juiced (approximately 3 oz)
- 2 peaches, peeled and cut
- raspberries for garnish
- optional: raspberry syrup
Add Grand Marnier, tequila, and lime juice to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Shake well and strain. Put the peaches into a blender with a tablespoon or two of the drink mix and pulse until peaches are smooth. Combine margarita mixture and peaches. Pour over ice into small glasses and garnish with raspberries.
Optional: add 1-2 oz of raspberry syrup. I have not done this yet, but will try this soon to give the drink a little more raspberry flavor and sweetness.
