Joining in with two of my favorite girls, Elaine and Julia, for some old school blogging. This month’s edition is random facts. Good, I can do random. The linky is open for two weeks, so join in the random!

If you could be on a reality show which one would you choose?

I’d love to be on Amazing Race. Getting to go all over the world and participate in all the challenges would be so exciting! They do things on there that I’d probably never ever get to do otherwise. Though if I went on with my husband, we would be hopelessly lost and probably never get to the first detour since neither one of us has a good sense of direction. My oldest has asked me if I will apply to go on the race with him if the show is still around when he’s old enough to go on it. I think that would be awesome… everyone roots for the oldest person on the show, right?

Name one thing you have saved from your childhood?

I had a bear that I slept with every night from the time I was about 6 or so… and still slept with through college. He actually didn’t have a name until I was in college, when a friend decided to call him Ted. So original, right? I still have that bear, though he’s been relegated to the closet.

If your life had a theme song what would it be?

Old Blue Chair by Kenny Chesney. With a runner up of All the Way by Lonestar, which was our wedding song.

Where is your happy place?

The beach. It’s a cliche for a reason. There were 6 months when we lived right on the beach and dang, do I miss that. If I ever hit the lottery, I’m buying that house we stayed in. We’re just a short drive away from the beach, but it’s not quite the same.

What is one thing about your home that you and your spouse disagree on?

We have only been here for less than 2 years and we were thrilled with the house when we moved in, so there’s nothing major. I think the next project should be to build a fence while my husband thinks it should be to build a deck. He also occasionally shows me houses in the next town over, while I don’t want to move unless we are able to move into that beach house.

What is your favorite fruit?

There’s a place the boys and I go to pick strawberries every year where they encourage you to eat them as you pick. They don’t use any pesticides so it’s safe. And there is nothing like a juicy strawberry right off the vine. (Unless it’s some sort of fruit in a yummy cocktail….)

Bowtie or regular tie?

Regular. Though my boys could rock either.

Mexican or Italian (food, not men)?

If I’m really hungry, then Italian. But I do love margaritas with some chips and salsa, so I’d pick that if I’m more thirsty than hungry.

Where do you want to go on Summer vacation?

Want changes the answer. I want to go to Greece. But if we’re looking at actual plans, we’ll probably head to Florida. Which is still lots of fun… it’s just not Greece.

What are your go-to shoes in your closet?

If you know me at all, you know this answer. Flip flops. I barely even have anything else. If I need to get dressed up, then it’s my dressy flip flops.

  6. Aww Ted! My daughter still has her old blanket somewhere. I’m totally with you on the fact that the beach is your happy place.

  7. I grew up a block and a half from the beach and my parents still live there half the year. I’ll provide the beach house if you bring the margaritas.

  8. Big brother. It’s the only reality show I watch and have seen every epsilon since the beginning. I am DYING to be on! Lol

  9. I am a sucker for Mexican food and watermelon and could never choose a single summer vacation destination. I also could not live without my flip flops!

  14. I always thought it would be fun to challenge myself on Survivor. Though, I tend to hate most people, I’d probably be the first one picked off lol.

  15. I also love the beach. My favorite fruit is an apricot. Thankfully, we have 3 apricot trees so I’m sure to get some every year even if the weather acts up. It was fun walking along with you while you traveled random questions and gave answers.

  18. I would love to live on the beach. We are close – just a drive away – but it would be so amazing to wake up to the sound of the waves or have them lull you to sleep at night. Ah. A girl can dream, right?

  21. I enjoy writing just to write and not be pressured to have a topic. Those are 2 great songs!

  24. My second oldest (who will be 22 this month) had a bear he took everywhere!! I saved that bear in his baby box. I should go find a picture of him with it to put in there alongside it too. 🙂

  26. I knew that you were going to say flip flops 🙂
    Flip flops are my go to in the summer but I’m ballet flats the remainder of the way – especially when the toes are looking all snarly!
    It’s a win win.
    Greece would be so lovely. We are going camping yet again. I love it, but I want to do something different….like having a bed and warm running water and not being afraid of spiders while using a toilet. You know, the simple pleasures in life.
    I would love to have a strawberry right off of the vine. Yum!!!!
