Are you young at heart or an old soul? When I was younger, even as a kid, I felt like an old soul. Now, there are times I find it hard to believe I’m already the age I am. So maybe I’m naturally set to being about 30 or so, which made me an old soul when I was younger and young at heart now.
Tell me about a movie/book that has changed your life. With as much as I read, you’d think it would be easy for me to name some books that changed my life. While I can’t really think of any off the top of my head, I can say that there’s something really powerful about reading stories… stories where I can see myself so I know I’m not alone, stories so different from my own that I can’t help but have my world broadened just by the reading.
Would you like to reconnect with any friends you’ve lost contact with? I have friends who live far away that I wish that I could see more often or talk to more often. I haven’t completely lost touch with them, but it’s just not the same as when we lived close together, which makes me sad. The only one I can think of that I’ve completely lost touch with that I’d like to be able to reconnect with would be my college roommate.
Where was your favorite place to go when you were a little kid? I dreamed of the ocean when I was small. We didn’t really make many trips there until I was closer to being a teenager, but I was always fascinated by it.
Do you enjoy being with only one or two friends, or with a large group of people? Definitely with one or two friends. Or even a small group, but definitely not a large crowd. That exhausts me.
What’s your “quirkiest” habit? I make terrible faces when I’m thinking about something or working on something. I know I’m doing it, but it takes effort to stop, so unless there’s someone else around, I don’t make that effort. \
What part of the past year sticks out in your mind? Sending my three boys off to the same school for the first time. They only have two years (this year and next) when they’ll all be together and watching them walk off together really hit me.

What do you use more often: your intuition or logical reasoning? I tend to go with my gut when it comes down to it. But I also tend to really analyze situations (sometimes way too much) first.
Where is your favorite place to go out and eat? I adore this local place called Chef and the Farmer. It’s in this tiny nowhere town so you’d never guess it has the most amazing foodie food. There’s a whole documentary about it on PBS called A Chef’s Life. We don’t go often because it’s pricey and not kid-friendly at all, but it’s always my request for a special occasion.
What was the last song that was stuck in your head? Uptown Funk. The Kidz Bop version. My boys listened to it over and over. And hearing my 6 year old sing it cracks me up because it never sounds like “funk.”
What is your ethnic heritage? I’m a whole lot of a lot of things. My maiden name ends in -os so people assumed Greek. There’s some Greek in there so sure, Greek.
Give me the story of your life in six words. Happily married with three amazing boys.
You can join in Old School Blogging with Elaine and Emmy or just tell me one (or more!) of your answers in the comments!
This is such an awesome way to get to know bloggers better! What a wonderful thing, to send all your boys to the same school. I bet that makes life a bit easier, and I’m sure they love to be there together…
I love your six words the most. <3
I love your answer about the books, I feel the same way. The girls came up with some great questions this month, can’t wait to jump in on it.
Just waiting, Julia… 😉
Love these old school questions and answer posts! Such a good way to get to know ya better! Happy Monday!
The picture of them walking in together is really sweet.
I want to go to that restaurant with you! YUM! I love food like that. Like I mean REALLY Love.
Great 6 words.
I like your six words- that does fit you perfectly. This fall will be my year of my kids all going off to the same school, though it will only happen for one year than Lucas will be in Junior High (shoot me!) Alex has a bunch of Kidz Bop CD’s she loves them. I make really funny faces when I am taking pictures, thankfully my camera is big and covers my whole face 🙂 Thanks for linking up!
I like what you said about your inner age being set at 30-something. It’s a bit like finally feeling at home inside and out, isn’t it?
I don’t know if I’m an old soul or young at heart or maybe in the middle? I love the photo of your boys going to school together…really shows how time can fly before you know it!
It took me a long time to come up with a book or movie that changed my life. You’d think that those things would stick out in my mind! Love your quirk. I think that I do that too! And you 6 words are just perfection.
