Do you ever have an event all built up in your mind only to have it go way off course?
A few years ago, I made plans to meet up with my friend Lora, whom I’d known online for years but never met in person. I’d drive down to see her with my almost 3 year-old, my 1.5 year old, and my newly growing baby bump. We’d chat and have a great time. Simple enough, right?
Except that right after I walked into her house, as soon as we got into her freshly mopped kitchen, my toddler had a diaper EXPLOSION, the likes of which I’d never seen before and thankfully, never seen since.
The poop shot up out the top of his diaper, getting all over me and all over the kitchen floor.
Like “hi, so nice to finally meet you, let us walk in and get poop all over your house.” How’s that for an entrance?
I was so mortified!
But thankfully, because we’d been traveling, I had an extra set of clothes for each of us in the van.
It’s not often that I’m that prepared. It helped make an embarrassing moment… well, not less embarrassing, but it helped to get everything(and everyone!) cleaned up a lot faster!
I’m writing this post for Life Insurance Awareness Month and the fact that Life Happens.
Since we have no idea what is coming next, it’s best to be prepared: whether it’s with a spare set of clothes or with Life Insurance.
In honor of Life Insurance Awareness Month, the nonprofit LIFE Foundation is giving away great prizes for the best Life Happens moments. You can enter the contest any time before Friday, October 5th. Make sure to encourage your friends and family to vote for your story as the Life Happens moments with the most votes will win (voting ends Friday, October 12th). First place will receive an Apple iPad® , second place will receive a $350 Apple gift card and third place will receive a $150 Amazon gift card.
Life Happens. And while you can’t control the future, you can take steps to protect the good things in life. Take a look around The LIFE Foundation website and learn more about how life insurance can help safeguard a secure financial future for those you love.
