Yes, I know, I’m sharing kindergarten advice when summer has just started and when I was just complaining yesterday on facebook about how I’m ready to unsubscribe to GapKids emails because they are already pushing back-to-school clothes this early.
But there’s a difference between being ready with clothes for back to school and having your child ready for school in the fall. Or rather, having the school ready for your child so he/she has the best experience possible from the start.
And while I know many parents have anxiety about their child starting kindergarten, that worry can be multiplied for parents of children with special needs.
Katie from Practical Parenting (who is a total doll and you should be following her for helpful parenting tips!) asked me to share what I learned about getting ready for kindergarten with my special needs child. I’d love for you to head over and read!
