I received products from Ninja in exchange for this post. Check it out for a new way to prepare meals!
The first time I asked for a kitchen gadget for Christmas, my husband thought it was some sort of test or trap.
But, because I really didn’t give him any other ideas, he bought me a Ninja blender and it was one of my best Christmas gifts ever because I use it all the time and it makes food prep so much easier (along with making yummy smoothies for me).
So, when I had the chance to try another Ninja product, I was excited (and I didn’t even have to ask Santa for it- but you’ll want to if you don’t already have this!)
The Nutri Ninja Nutri Bowl DUO has different settings that let you create all sorts of different meals easily. You might hear Ninja and think smoothies, but it’s so much more. Depending on the blades and setting you use, you can switch from Nutrient Extraction to Nutrient Blending and create things like Classic Pea Soup, Brussels Sprout Salad, Pear Rosemary Flatbread, Salmon BurgersCauliflower Rice, and Dark Chocolate Chip Mousse.
All those recipes are on the Ninja site, along with many more, but the Nutri Bowl DUO also comes with a recipe book and I decided to try the Greek Chicken Chopped Salad.
I put my ingredients in my Nutri Bowl DUO in the order listed in the recipe:
- 1/2 cup romaine lettuce, cut into 1 1/4in pieces
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken, cooled, cut into 1in pieces
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1/4 cup feta (which I skipped because I was going to use dressing with feta in it)
- 1/4 cup Kalamata olives
Then, I selected Auto-IQ BOOST NO FUSION CHOP and within seconds, all the ingredients were nicely chopped and blended together. Literally, just a few seconds!
The directions said to toss with your favorite salad dressing, but with the way the flavors were combined, it didn’t need much, so next time, I’ll add the feta to the salad and skip the dressing. If you know me at all, you know this is huge because I usually eat salad FOR the dressing- when the dressing is gone, I’m done eating. But this truly didn’t need any because of the way it was prepared.
I’m excited to try more recipes with my Nutri Bowl DUO. If you want to see more of what it can do, check out the video on the bottom of the Nutri Bowl DUO page, along with the other recipes and the exclusive offers from Ninja so you can have one of these, too! It would make a great gift, because yes, kitchen appliances actually do make fabulous presents!
