For Kids With No Tushies: Dapper Snappers Review

We joke all the time that my middle son has NO butt.  It’s challenging to find pants that are long enough for him that won’t slide right down and make him look like a tiny plumber.

Yes, I know that there are pants with adjustable waistbands. We have some of those. But, the problem is that not all pants come with those. And even the ones that do sometimes can’t adjust quite as small as he needs.

I know, I know, I could put belts on him. The problem with that is that he can’t work a belt himself, so he’d need help every time he needed to use the bathroom. I’m sure his preschool teacher would just love having one more thing she has to worry about.

But, I had a chance to review a product recently that is a huge help with this! Dapper Snappers offers an alternative to belts for kids that doesn’t get in the way of potty training.

Dapper Snappers loop through the belt loops in the back of your child’s pants.

My 4 year-old not only has the adjustable waist in this pair of jeans, but he still needed the Dapper Snappers! They helped him from showing his tush to his preschool class.

Dapper Snappers come in a variety of colors for boys and girls: $10.95 for one or $29.95 for a three pack.

They also sell clips for your Dapper Snappers in case your child needs them for a pair of pants that doesn’t have belt loops.

Dapper Snappers definitely work for us! Now, to get that 3 pack.

This post was written for Family Review Network & Dapper Snappers who provided the complimentary product for review in exchange for my honest opinions

I can already tell you that we're going to have this issue with N. She inherited her dad's "no butt." 😉

Is it bad that I kept reading that thinking the "Diaper Snappers" and I was wondering why on earth you'd want snaps for a diaper?

We need some of these for Drex! He's so skinny and had no booty at all. We tell him all he got from his daddy is his eyes and lack of butt. I told Nikki I was going to get him some suspenders.

Do you think this would work on my nine year old daughter? Little girls jeans are made too low ride now. I see a half moon every time she bends over! (She has plenty of booty…that is not her problem.)

It doesn't stop with the children. My husband didn't have a butt and I had to tailor all his pants to make him look halfway decent. Finally found great trouser patterns through Stretch 'N' Sew and Simplicity and just made his from scratch. He was a happy man, and looked fantastic. And, it's worth the trouble. (Actually, men's clothes are much easier to make than women's. Go figure.) So, hopefully, these guys can come up with something for adults for those who can't sew. Come visit when you can…

My mom totally would have needed this product for my brother when he was little. He was tall with no fat on him or his butt!
I just read your comment on my blog, Shell, and I had to say that i know what you're talking about about those blogs with the enormous inside joke! Too funny!

Oh I need the ones for pants without belt loops! My son has a new pair of church pants that just fall off so he wears the older ones. haha.

JDaniel has no problem keeping his pants up, but most of his friends do. This looks like a great product.

I am so freaking happy that you put this on your blog. A few months ago, I wrote about them, but never actually tried them. I just didn't want to spend the $$$ if they weren't going to work…after all, I have two tushy-less kids!

I won two of these at a baby expo and now I'm sure that Jellybean will be needing them!

I definitely need these for my oldest. He's five and even belts don't help his cause, lol. He's sooooo scrawny that nothing stays on him and he runs around with one hand holding up his pants.
