Fandom of the Month Club Review

You might have noticed that I have a love for subscription boxes. I go for reasonably priced subscription boxes that have themes that I like. If you missed some of my other recent subscription box reviews, I’ll link you to them at the end of this post.

But, right now, I want to share a Fandom of the Month Club review. FOTMC for short. I pay for this subscription service out of my own pocket, but you can use my referral link in this post and I get a little something if you subscribe through that.

This one first caught my eye last summer because they were doing Hogwarts Houses boxes and you could select your house and get a few pieces of jewelry that went with your house. I picked Ravenclaw and liked the box I received which included this Ravenclaw necklace and this ring:

I was satisfied enough(and curious enough) to try signing up for a Fandom of the Month Club subscription. Every month, you get 3-4 fandom-inspired jewelry items(like earrings, necklaces, rings (size 7 or adjustable), bracelets, keychains, and pins). It all comes in a cute themed bag (used to be drawstring, but this past month’s was a zippered pouch, as they’ve switched who was making their bags). It also comes with a custom postcard and magnet. Pricing ranges from $13 a box down to $10/box, depending on which option you choose. All options are plus shipping.

Here’s the thing about this one: when I get a Fandom of the Month Club box that I love, I looooooove it. Like December’s Beauty and the Beast box. The pocket watch alone was worth it.

And January’s Star Wars box was pretty fun, too.

But, you don’t know what the fandom will be until closer to ship date. If you watch the Fandom of the Month Club instagram account, they usually give some hints, so you can always watch that and go on a month to month basis. I’ve also seen where the next three months’ worth of themes get announced, though not in any particular order. I would not be good at remembering to go check it out every month, so I just stay on a 3 month membership.

The thing about the fandom boxes that aren’t really your thing is that they make great presents for someone who does love those themes. They’re all themes that make sense- like the Pokemon box I got this fall, which wasn’t my favorite since it’s my kids who are into that, not me(and the boxes are very girly so this isn’t something my boys would want), but it was still super cute. The same goes for the Dr. Who box I received. I know nothing about that other than the random bits that I see people post on facebook when they’re watching the show. But again, they’re all popular themes.

The only other slight complaint I have is that (so far) all of the boxes I’ve received have earrings in them and one (or possibly two, I haven’t checked the other in a while) of my holes closed up so I can’t wear earrings. But, that’s on me, not on the subscription service. Some of the earrings are so cute, I’m tempted to go get my ears pierced again.

Head over and check out the Fandom of the Month Club subscription box– this is definitely a fun one!

Other subscription boxes I’ve reviewed:

  • FabFitFun (this is my favorite and I have a discount for you)
  • Target Beauty Box vs Play by Sephora
  • Pura Vida bracelets
This Is Why I Hate the Phone
Peanut Butter Lasagna
