Enjoying the Holidays with your Pets

This post is part of a series brought to you by Mars Petcare, who is committed to making “a better world for pets.” I was compensated for this partnership, but all opinions are my own.

The countdown to Christmas is on! While Santa’s elves have just about finished getting everything ready
for the children in my house, there are still the furry kids to think about.

Dobby Cat came to live with us shortly before Christmas last year, so we’re new to Christmas traditions with our pets. All the noise and busyness of the holiday season isn’t something Dobby is a fan of, but he definitely wouldn’t say no to the gift of a new soft blanket.

Dobby would consider a good Christmas one where we let him nap in a room where our guests weren’t allowed to bother him and he wasn’t in danger of being accidentally let out of the house with all the comings and goings of visitors.

If we tried to dress him up for the holidays, Dobby would expect a huge apology.

But he would enjoy, as a special treat, once everyone else but immediate family is gone, we will make sure we fill his TEMPTATIONS SNACKY MOUSE™ Toy with TEMPTATIONS™ Treats so he can get some playtime in. There is even a special holiday-themed Snacky Snowman so your kitty can join in the winter festivities!

Though Dobby Cat might hide from the Christmas celebrations, over at his cousin Rudy’s house, there’s a much different holiday spirit. Rudy is happy to get all dressed up for the holidays in his Santa hat.

He has no problem getting decked out in Christmas pajamas that match his baby sister’s and sitting for a picture in front of the tree.

Rudy will even let you load him up in the car and take a trip to the special pet photo with Santa night at the local mall or pet store.

He behaves himself so well, you just know he’s going to have a lot of presents under the tree.

Rudy will also get some GREENIES™ Dental Chews in his stocking, since they’re the No. 1 vet-recommended dental chews and treats.* They help freshen breath, maintain healthier teeth and gums and control plaque and tartar buildup.

Since Rudy really loves to chew, he’s also getting PEDIGREE® Dentastix Deep Clean, which clean down to the gum line and are clinically proven to reduce plaque and tartar buildup.

How do you celebrate your pets during the holiday season? Do they enjoy it like Rudy or hide from it like Dobby?
