Cool Morning Treat #IcedDelight

I’m not a morning person. Not even a little bit.

But in the summer, mornings are the easiest time for me to get work done because my kids sleep in. Once they’re up, they’re asking to go to the pool or the beach or to have friends over. So I need to take advantage of the early morning quiet if I want to get through my long to-do lists.

I used to joke that I shouldn’t answer any emails prior to 9 am because I wouldn’t be coherent enough to make any sense. There was a lot of truth in that so-called joke. It’s what happens when you’re not a morning person.

And I know this probably makes me a little odd, but for me, the solution isn’t just to make a cup of coffee first because I rarely drink hot coffee. I do, however, love an iced coffee drink, especially if it’s nice and sweet.

International Delight Iced Coffee Sweet & Creamy Coffeehouse Drinks are my new cool morning treat. It would defeat the purpose of me getting up early if I had to drive to a coffee shop(not to mention be a little rough on my wallet). But International Delight Iced Coffee is something I can keep on hand in the fridge.

I.D. Iced Coffee really is sweet and creamy; the Vanilla is my favorite, though you can find it in Mocha, Caramel Macchiato, and Original.

One problem I have is that I’ll drink some of my iced coffee, set it down beside me, and get lost in answering emails. By the time I go back to my drink, the ice has melted, watering down my drink. I’ve solved this by making ice cubes out of International Delight Iced Coffee.

While you can certainly enjoy I.D. Iced Coffee on its own, my favorite way to prepare it is to fill my glass 3/4 of the way full with the coffee ice cubes, add approximately 3/4 cup of Vanilla I.D. Iced Coffee, and then 1/4 cup International Delight Coldstone Creamery Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer, and stir. If I want an extra treat(or because it’s a Monday morning and we all need a treat on Mondays), I’ll top it off with whipped cream and a little bit of chocolate syrup.

Through the end of August, you can enter to win an I.D. Iced Coffee tumbler on the I.D. Facebook page. One hundred tumblers will be awarded each week.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of International Delight. The opinions and text are all mine.
