A Great Assist in Soccer and Parenting

This is a sponsored post with The Motherhood and  Clorox Women’s World Cup #GreatAssist Program.

clorox-great-assist
While I’ve never been a soccer player, unless you count playing one season on a U5 team, I’ve been in the stands watching my husband coach multiple teams every season for the past 14 years. All three of my boys have played for years… I’d try to count seasons but soccer is pretty much year round here and the numbers quickly add up so fast my head starts to spin.

Like soccer, parenting is all about the #GreatAssist. It takes teamwork, the great assist you give your kids, the great assist your friends and family give you.

My husband gives me a #GreatAssist with this parenting gig. I couldn’t do it without him. He’s the rational to my emotional(except for those times when it’s his turn to freak out and then I get to be the voice of reason). He helps with our boys’ sports while I help with school. We’re a team.

There are some parenting days that are harder than others and my husband helps get us all through.

Clorox knows that sometimes you need assistance to get across the goal line. That’s why Clorox is an Official Partner of the United States Women’s National Team. As an Official Partner of the United States Women’s National Team, Clorox is sharing the players’ #GreatAssist stories:

The Clorox Company’s brands help give the #GreatAssist, making everyday life better. My boys are messy(okay, I can be, too), so Clorox cleaning products can give me that #GreatAssist…. at least until someone comes up with a self-cleaning house!

Post-soccer game, when we’re all hungry, we get a #GreatAssist from Hidden Valley Ranch with our veggies, Kingsford Charcoal for an easy dinner, and Glad to help us put away whatever my family didn’t munch through.

My husband and I are a team too. I feel badly for those in a relationship not understanding this concept. Currently, we are assisting our daughter and two grands, while their husband/father is away for a month. Family helps family.

My 4 1/2 year old is a great assist around here, most of the time. He loves doing his chores for allowance – and sometimes he will just help me, just because!!

Both my husband and my son give me great assists all the time. Without their cooperation, I’d never have the time to do the things I do.

I think of my husband and I as a team. Our whole family really is, and we love it. We all assist each other and although we are a huge soccer family, I’ve never played either so I enjoy watching and my hubby isn’t a coach but he helps!

My husband gives me a GreatAssist in parenting too. He wouldn’t be very helpful in soccer though lol!

I definitely think success involves team work and helping one another regardless of what you are trying to accomplish. I certainly could not get through the parenting journey without my husband and my awesome extended family.

Clorox is a must have when it comes to children who play sports. Soccer can be quite messy and before you know it, you have a ton of grass stains!

Thanks for sharing I will try to hop on the twitter chat for a bit, I have a big event that evening to get ready for but hopefully I will be able to sneak in some time during the day to join in the #GreatAssist Twitter Party, tweet chats are so much fun. And it is nice to sometimes not be hosting so I can attend and have a shot at the cool prizes (since I can’t win when I am hosting or co-hosting!) 🙂

I wish my family was better at being a team. Husband pushed one wife away and over the years shes gone on a downward spiral (not related to him leaving) which has really hurt kiddo. Slowly, hes pushing me away and its a terrible time in our family unit.

My Mom has always been there for me. When i had my kids she came and lived with us for a few weeks to be sure we were okay. She has been there to help us with the kids and with everything we need.
