Bold Moms Break the Rules of White!

Almost eleven years ago, I was on the beach with a very good looking guy. I had an idea that it was going to be a very special day in my life, but I wasn’t quite sure if that ring box was going to come out that day or not.

So, I wanted to look nice in case it was that special day but still totally appropriate for what we were doing(no evening gown for a dinner near the beach and walk on the beach afterwards).

I went shopping and bought a pair of white shorts and a white Bohemian style blouse with little blue flowers embroidered around the trim.

That ring box did come out that night and we were married a few months later(10 years tomorrow- have I mentioned that lately?).

Maybe because of that moment(and oh, my wedding dress), with special moments, I think of white. I love the look of it.

But then I had three children.

Three BOYS at that.

Boys who love to run around outside and seem to attract dirt like giant magnets.

So WHITE? On MY boys?

Maybe not the best idea.

But oh, they look so darn handsome in white.

Well, okay, they look handsome in any color, but especially in white.

I’m far too practical to buy clothes for my boys that can only be worn inside a dirt-free vacuum(does such a thing even exist?) and then quickly have them change the second there is a chance they could get dirty.

Where is the fun in that? And I’m a mama who believes in letting her boys have fun.

Plus, I love to wear white. I wish I could still fit in that outfit from the night Hubs proposed(um, yeah, I could diet for the next 20 years and never get back into THAT size), but I can still find other outfits that remind me of that one. And I want to be able to wear white without worrying about what sort of dirt and other mess my boys might get onto my outfit(or okay, what I might spill, since I’m kinda clumsy).

I recently had the chance to try Tide Bright + White, which works to help keep whites white. It’s safe to use on colors as well, so there’s no worry about sorting your clothes like you’d have to think about with bleach- seriously, it’s amazing that I can find the time to do all the laundry these kiddos create- I can’t even imagine having to worry about sorting.

Tide Bright + White can help moms break the rules of white- meaning we(and our kids) can actually wear it, knowing we have help keeping it bright and white!

Tide Vivid White + Bright keeps whites brighter longer allowing you to break the rules of white. Learn more about Tide’s whiteness regimen by visiting DailyCandy
