After a long day of traveling to Squaw Valley, CA, I had dinner and drinks with fellow TWIN member Danylle of The Cubicle Chick.
Last month, I was able to attend the Wanderlust Festival thanks to Toyota. It’s by far one of the coolest things that I’ve ever had a chance to do. I’d love to go again next year and the year after that and the year after that…
I thought I’d share some photos so you could get a better idea of what goes on at Wanderlust and why I’ve been gushing about it so much!
Disclosure: I attended Wanderlust as part of #toyotawomen. I was selected for participation in the TWIN community through a program with Clever Girls Collective. I did not receive any compensation for writing this post, or payment in exchange for participating. It looks amazing – I wish I could go to one. And you totally rocked the balancing act on the slackline, I would have fallen off

I definitely fell more than I was on the line! It was a lot of fun to try!
I love the slideshow you have set up.
The pictures make me jealous, even though that’s totally not something I’m into.

Hubs was rolling his eyes at it all because it’s not his thing. Though I told him he would have loved the atmosphere and would have happily golfed while I was there if he’d been able to go, too.
No wonder you want to go back year after year. If I went I would probably follow the organizers around like a lost puppy with sad eyes so they would invite me back.

I think they could make me their mascot or something. LOL
Really though- once they have details for next year, I really want to see if I can go again. Probably not CA b/c of the distance but maybe VT or CO.
Looks like a great time!

The name of that one made me laugh. Had to try it!
Looks like you had an amazing time. The scenery is just beautiful. I’ve never been to California but want to go one day…

I may have said it before but it really does look like an amazing trip…. I wish that there was something similar to that closer to Michigan though!

I wish they had one in my state! They have one in CO and one in VT. I just want them to expand.
Wow, very impressed you could stand on that line- that is crazy. And yes, mountain hiking is very different than flat ground hiking.
So glad you had such a great time

I fell most of the time on that line.
This post should be titled 39 Things I LOOOOOOOOOOOVED About Wanderlust . Or 39 Reasons Why Kristi is Bummed That She Didn’t Go. lol So glad you had a great time. Loved your compilation of photos, Shell.

I’m a master at that “how to sit on your ass and do nothing” thing.

Wow, that looks amazing! And so fun and relaxing. I love the sign that said Please Be NIce.
Glad you got to get away and to such an amazing place. xo

That was the whole vibe of the festival. I’ve never been somewhere where everyone was just so nice and relaxed.
Totally looks amazing! I don’t really do yoga, but I do have a thing for yoga pants. Although, if Stacy or Clinton ask you I DO NOT wear them. EVER!

But I think they’d let you wear them at an yoga festival, right?
Every time I read one of your posts about this event I have to refrain from feeling a twinge of jealousy. *winks* I’m so happy that you got this experience! It just sounds amazing!

Those pictures are awesome! Such a beautiful place to be for a couple of days. That’s awesome that Jessica and you got to have dinner together!! SO funny you got pics of the drinks and not the two you together

It was fun- and I was happy that Jess could come in, too.
I have no idea how you balanced on that slackline. I would have skipped that session altogether for fear I would break my face.
Glad I got to hang out with you!

Glad you were able to come for dinner!
I am so happy that you got to do something that was so out of the norm for “mommy bloggers”. Even though I don’t do Yoga the experience sounds amazing.
And I know you haven’t read 50 shades of Gray, but I am sorry the picture of your self-massage with balls is SO 50 Shades!!!! I wouldn’t have been able to stop giggling!
I actually did read it last month. I didn’t like it, though.
But seeing all the things they had in that massage class did make me think of it! LOL
Ohmygoodness this looks absolutely AMAZING!
{And I love the slideshow! Love!}

Looks like a fantastic time. I love Tahoe – it’s been my second home for nearly 30 years and I was lucky enough to live there for almost five years when I was in college. Best years of my life happened there.
