Kalso Earth Shoes Review and Giveaway

I think I’m missing the shoe gene. You know the one that most women have that make them love shoes.

I’ve always been more of the barefoot type. Flip flops if I need to have something on my feet.

But I recently had a chance to try some Kalso Earth Shoes with their “negative heel,” which mimics walking barefoot in sand by naturally positioning body over the frame. And maybe this is what I’ve been missing. Developed by a Danish yoga instructor, I could feel my posture improving when I wear these: my yoga instructor would be so proud!  You can read more about the negative heel and the history behind Kalso Earth Shoe.

You can find a variety of styles, like the Prosper if you are looking for sporty casual:

Then there’s the Penchant which are the next pair of shoes that I want. Size 7.5, if you’re reading Hubs. Mother’s Day is right around the corner. *hint, hint*

And then there’s also the pair that I reviewed- I know you are shocked that they are flip flops- but the Cabo San Lucas 2 is more comfortable than any pair of sandals I’ve ever owned, since it actually has a supportive footbed.

They are so comfortable that I might actually become more of shoe person! Kalso Earth Shoe: the original wellness shoe. designed by nature, created by kalso.

I have horrible horrible feet, always in pain, no shoe fits right, so I’ve never been a shoe person.  These look actually wearable, unlike a lot of the earthy shoes you see in Foot Smart.  Yes, I have such horrible feet I get the Foot Smart catalogue.  FML

I LOVE Earth Shoes! I have a few pairs, and one of the Mary Jane style ones is my go-to shoe. I wear it almost every day. They are amazing.

My favorite kind of shoes are slip on tennis shoes, so I can change into my slippers as soon as I walk in the door, but can easily put my shoes back on when I need to run out the door again. I had some awesome ones a few years ago and they wore out and I couldn’t find new ones to replace them.

  4. Madeline says

I like mary jane shoes, or really any flats that are cute and feminine.

  5. says

if I can’t go barefoot I wear a slide style sandal, oh the looks I get during the winter

I am missing the shoe gene too, but those look lovely. I have developed plantar fascitis in my feet and I am on the hunt for a comfortable and supportive sandal. Great giveaway!

I’m definitely missing the shoe gene as well. Barefoot is the way to go. Those sandals flip flops look cool though – that is for shoes.

I am a bad shoe person. I think I own 5 pair total. Two pair are running shoes and they would be my favorite. I actually have a pair of Earth shoes that I got last year and I do like them. The style is not something I would normally choose, but they are so comfortable.

I’m not a shoe person at all. I buy a comfortable pair of shoes and wear that pair every day until it’s falling apart. I like slip on style shoes.

I love all shoes! But when I have to run out real quick I like to grab my Crocs flip flops! They’re so comfortable!

  11. Kat Riley says

I am a diabetic so I need closed toe shoes. I really like the Renee shoes but I think the Diablo boots are hot!

  12. says

I love the Penchant shoe! It looks super comfy! I had foot surgery about 6 years ago, so my left foot is very particular about shoes. I usually wear flip-flops when it’s warm enough to, I wear furry boots in the winter. Tennis shoes are hard, because of my scars.

These shoes appear to be right up my alley…I can only wear comfy ones! I really like both the Prosper and the Penchant…PLUS I’m in the market for a good new pair of arch-support flip-flops, as one of my lovely felines recently urinated on my favorite old pair…

  14. says

I am not a shoe person either. Somewhere our shoe-genes are kicking it together.

    In flip flops.

p.s. Totally off-topic, but I saw your sweet boy over at Jessica’s today.

I have one pair of tennies that I wear daily. . .

But I would prefer to walk around in flip-flops all day if I could.  ;)

I used to be all about the heels, the higher the better! Met my hubs at work and he said my nickname (the guys called me) was “business sexy” … little suits and high heels. But these days, no can do, flip flops are my go to shoe!

  22. suburban prep says

I usually either like a sneaker like shoe like the PRosper or a shoe I can just slide my foot into.

For comfort I love my New Balance sneakers but I love the look of a slingback.

My favorite shoes are anything comfy but not looking like bedroom slippers. I like a pair of good leather boat shoes, well broken in for colder seasons and a sandal for summer that doesn’t slip around on my feet.

I really wanted to enter this contest but had to get to a computer to do it.  I couldn’t use the widget thing on my Kindle or my phone!  Oh well.  I will have more time once my kids get older.  2 under 2 is pretty much pure chaos.

    • Shell says

I know there are some problems with the widget if it’s used on anything other than a computer, but it’s really made managing giveaway entries so much easier.

My first two were just shy of 17 months apart, so I totally get that- it gets easier, I promise!
