1. This conversation:
- 7y/o: I see the first star, I get a wish!
-
Dad: Starlight, starbright, first star I see tonight…
-
8y/o: Can I get a hot tub?
-
7y/o: Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.
2. Hot apple cider. Preferably simmered in the crockpot for a few hours with a couple cinnamon sticks and sliced oranages.
3. My 5y/o calling the bonus room “the bingo room” so often that it’s now how the rest of us refer to it, too.
4. The end of a stress-free soccer season.
5. Listening to my boys read to me.
6. The conversation that happens with my 5y/o every time we see a pic of my youngest niece.
- Me: I just want to eat that baby.
- 5y/o: You can’t eat babies.
- Me: Why not?
- 5y/o: Because they taste like blood and they have bones.
7. Volunteering in my boys’ classrooms.
8. Long sweaters with leggings and Uggs.
9. Fall baking. Especially cookies.
10. Batman.
Linking with Emmy Mom for her monthly 10 Things to Smile About- you can link up all week. Head over to her place for details.
Awww. These made ME smile, too. I want to come to your house for apple cider and cookies in the Bingo Room.
C’mon over. 😉
Oh my god, they were fantastic!
I loved the Hot Tub and State Farm, that’s classic!
I’m coming over to visit the Bingo room, sounds like fun!
all your good stuff made me smile too. Thank you.
Yes, come visit. Bring the boys. 🙂
Those conversations are TOO cute! 🙂
They crack me up!
Okay those conversations had me literally laughing out loud! Yes, I guess that is how babies would taste; too funny. I love when kids take everything so literally.
Batman looks awesome, the pose it he best. We took this season off of soccer and I must admit I did not miss it one bit, but we will probably do the spring season. I have been able to volunteer once a week in my kids class, a friend watches Ryder for me, and it really is so nice to be able to do that.
Thank you so so much for linking up!
Sometimes, I’ll tell him “Well, what if I like blood?” and he’ll say “You are not a vampire, Mom.”
I love getting to volunteer. I get to do it once a week for my two older boys.
I love the conversations!
Kids are so funny!
These thins made me smile! I love helping at my son’s school too.
This is my first year I’ve had the time and opportunity to volunteer on a regular basis and I’m really enjoying it.
I love how the way your little ones say things some how becomes the way everyone says it. Also warm sweaters, leggings and uggs always make me smile.
We hear it enough, we end up repeating it. 😉
OMGosh, love #1, too funny. Over the years there are SO many things that we say because the kids said them that way when they were little. Like fireflies are “flashlight bugs”. I love that stuff! =)
That first conversation is hilarious. Kids are so funny!!
That is a lot to smile about. I love the little conversations with your kids mixed in. Made me smile. At my house, we have a SuperMan to smile about!
Your boys are always hysterical- I love it. Tell them to wish me a hot tub while they’re at it.. xo
Great list….love the conversations!
BATMAN puts a smile on my face!
